$46M
HERBICIDE COST AVOIDED
Built a transformer that beat Blue River Technology's production model by +6% mAP and was selected as the new state of the art. The mAP gain mapped to ~$46M of herbicide savings in Iowa fields alone.
$6M+
FUNDING CONTRIBUTION
Shipped Grounding DINO + Segment Anything natural-language object detection at Craftwork (contributed to the $4M round + YC launch). Augmented Reality room-sizing brought in an additional $2M.
$1M
GPU INFRA COST CUT
Built a computer-vision multi-camera person re-identification algorithm at Kryptonite that cut ~$1M of GPU cost. Trained SwAV / SimCLR self-supervised representations over a 50M-image Instagram dataset for a +4% retrieval gain.

FASTER MATCHING · CONVERGE LABS
Co-founder & Head of AI at Converge Labs. Shipped AI-driven matching (3× faster), real-time sentiment moderation (−56% toxicity, +35% retention), AI video generation (70% of editing automated), voice-onboarding (+55% retention).

Predicting radio power at every location and frequency in a 2D area from sparse measurements — relevant to fingerprint localization, user-cell association, MIMO power control, and UAV path planning. The paper introduces the Dual Path Autoencoder (separating environmental and signal information) and Skip Connection Autoencoders (increasing encoder-decoder information flow), and benchmarks them against state-of-the-art CNN autoencoders across sampling rates and architecture sizes.
+ ADDITIONAL RESEARCH 8 conference papers published in the BMSTU scientific journal during my undergraduate research on neural-network-based object detection, classification approaches for Kaggle, control-signal formation from frame streams, pattern recognition for mobile autonomous platforms, and virtual-camera modeling in MATLAB (regional and Russian national scientific and technical conferences).

End-to-end brain-wave → image reconstruction using a vision transformer and a Parti-style decoder. M.S. thesis area.
VIT · PYTORCHBlue River Technology · May–Jul 2022
Transformer-based image segmentation that outperformed the production model and is the candidate for the new SOTA in production. Underpinned the +6% mAP / ~$46M herbicide-savings result.
SEGFORMER · PYTORCHBlue River Technology · Jul–Aug 2022
Trained a high-accuracy teacher to label unlabeled data, then fine-tuned the smaller production model on the combined set. Statistically significant accuracy lift, confirming the distillation pipeline works on real-world agricultural imagery.
DISTILLATION · PYTORCHKryptonite · Sep–Dec 2020
Research on the best architecture for learning feature representations from unlabeled images. SimCLR (Google) and SwAV (Facebook) over ResNet, ResNeXt, EfficientNet backbones. Downstream: image retrieval and object detection.
SIMCLR · SWAVKryptonite · Mar–Aug 2021
N camera views, partial overlap, all subjects in the same clothes — so no deep-learning crutch. Used intrinsic and extrinsic camera parameters to associate identities across views. Underpinned the ~$1M GPU-cost reduction at Kryptonite.
